Its coming to the end of the summer sale season, but there are still some bargains to be had. With retailers dropping their prices lower than ever before, its time to get clicking because the discount goldmine is online!

Originally £35, is now £25 in the Warehouse online sale!
The British high street has always been famous for its sale season, with crowds of eager shoppers often camping outside department stores overnight to secure a good deal in the morning. However, thanks to the introduction of online shopping, you can leave your sleeping bag at home and trawl the shops in the comfort of your own home.
A good money-saving idea for the sales is to, before you go, research the upcoming trends for the next season, this means that you can watch out for any pieces which may fall into any of the new-season’s ‘Most Wanted’ list!
With a larger supply of products and sizes, it is easier to locate exactly what you want. For example, if you are well-prepared and have already been checking out the new trends for Autumn/Winter 2011, then you would know how big ‘Aztec’ is going to be. Geometric prints, tassels and shaggy ‘coatigans’ (a coat and a cardigan in one) are all included, and this geometric tile print dress (left) from warehouse fits the bill perfectly. The wrap shape is flattering but not too revealing and subtly on-trend in a more sophisticated way. If this wasn’t enough, it has also been reduced in the sale to only £25.

Spots are the new stripes: go dotty for this cosy jumper!
As seen on the runways of Stella McCartney, DVF and Marc Jacobs, polka dots are a fresh alternative to the ever-present nautical stripe. In a fresh take on the traditional striped navy and white jumper, Warehouse’s jumper is now a snip at only £10, a huge saving from the original £38! This jumper can be worn with denim shorts during the remainder of summer and then with a fifties-style pencil skirt come autumn. Although it is quite a simple jumper, it can work with a variety of clothing but still remaining practical and warm, which is what a jumper is for at the end of the day!

Check out these gorgeous brogues from kurtgeiger.com for only £25
There are still bargains to be had on more upmarket brands; kurtgeiger.com usually produces stunningly gorgeous shoes of high-quality, with a more upmarket price tag to match. However, its sister brand Miss KG which is also stocked on kurtgeiger.com, sells more affordable footwear. At full price these lace-ups were £65, but due to the summer sale, they have now been reduced to £25.
Masculine/Feminine has been a trend for the last few seasons and growing stronger all the time. Brogues like these (left) optimize the nature of this trend, with the strong masculine shape but the colour and texture are delicate and feminine.
The sales are not just great for finding next seasons key pieces, they can also help you find great quality, lasting items at a more affordable price. Denim jeans are one such object which everybody owns, but are so hard to find!
Many people shy away from buying jeans online, however it can often be a lot easier and less stressful if you have the comfort of your own home in which to try on a series of styles and sizes. You can then send back the unwanted pairs, instead of running in and out of cramped shop changing rooms which can be half of the hassel of finding jeans which fit.
These Nudie Jeans are a perfect everyday pair, available from my-wardrobe.com, they have subtle fading to look more relaxed and are 60% off; whats not to love?
Similarly, wardrobe staples can be hard to find in the sales, but once you find them, it can be hard to say no! Reduced to only £10, this Topshop purse (below) is made of real leather and had enough compartments to keep all your cash, coins and cards safe. Also available at topshop.com are other style gems such as this rhinestone necklace (perfect for livening up a plain t-shirt) and these black jelly sandals (comfortable, cool and affordable).
